let’s see if we have some common interest. my 5-list of dream projects

Doing stuff we love is what we wanna do! We are a dream company, an idea company. We started this whole business to once become professionals that only work for companies, people, ideas we choose based on common interest and shared enthusiasm. For now, we are doing good, thanks, hopefully heading towards doing even better. We’ve got everything to begin to walk this path. We do this and that as you can see on our website. About further projects, we dream. (The smile on your face, my dear reader, only makes us stronger and more committed, read this and smile over it for whatever reason.)

At company meetings, which are more like friendly workshops, we give each other home work. Last time, we were to collect five projects we would like to contribute to.

Dear Laci, my friend and colleague, and also my dear readers, let us see if we share some interests. Here comes my home work, my 5-list, well, one of them. These are projects, organizations, brands I would love doing communications for, right now:

1. Tipton. Sounds familiar? Our friend, an inventor, a Hungairan-American-Polish guy living now in Budapest, Zack Milaskey does what he loves and does best, eyewear. They are called Tipton. Real lifestyle shit put together piece by piece in his small Belgrád rakpart studio and worn all over the world. To create his unique, state-of-the-art frames, he uses materials like old super8 movie tapes, vinyl records that he presses himself, lots of other shits, but mostly, imagination. He is the kind of self-made guy, still in the making, who can be anything, but even if he does not, he still remains cool by our standards and not because Elton John also wears his frames. Working for and with him is not so much of a dream anymore, in September, we are putting on our second mutual project, a real Tipton eyewear experience with lots of vinyl and fun. Something like this:

2. Wikileaks. I bumped into them when I was looking for some social media use examples for an introductory presentation I held before a bunch of NATO press officers a few months ago. The infamous video, named “Collateral” had been just leaked by them and came in handy at the time.  I have no idea, if we could be any use for them, but I get very enthusiastic about the stuff they do. They open governments. How cool is that, huh!? Wikileaks founder and director, Julian Assange has recently talked at TED about what Wikileaks does and why:

Supporting them may be one way of working for them. You can do it too. Time to open governments in Hungary for example is nearing pretty quickly, I guess….

3. PuliSpace. What-da-heck!? I have just found this project on the Internet, duh, where else!? I have always loved people wanting to go to Space or send stuff up there just to feel closer to the stars or maybe to themselves. This is what they say about their project on their website:

“The long term mission of Puli Space Technologies is to develop the required new techniques to routinely send spacecraft to the Moon, explore new frontiers and to provide quality services for forward-thinking investors interested in commercializing space.

But first we want to demonstrate our abilities by landing a self-made probe on the Moon by 2014 and thus complete the Google Lunar X PRIZE challenge. The Google Lunar X PRIZE aims to aid the next leap onto the Moon by awarding prizes from its 30 million dollar pool to the frist private companies successfully reaching the lunar surface, simply dubbed “Moon 2.0″.”

They already have 12 fans on Facebook. I am among them. Would love to see, if SpeakEasy can be any help in their communications.

4. iPhone vs. Android. This was a conference at the right place and time. The first one in Hungary. A love(&hate) project by Doransky and Krasznai, with our contribution. Not so much of a dream again, as this was one of SpeakEasy’s first commissions this year. I would love to continue and hope there will be a lot to say again in the mobile business soon. Sharing an office with Doransky and his company Peer Applications, there is continuous inspiration. Doing videos and press for them did not even compare to being their host for the conference.

5. Cocorosie. I hate concerts, yet boy, did I go to theirs yesterday!? Seeing and hearing them live was one of my dreams that this way came true. An easy one. So why would I like to work for them? That’s why:

+1. Laci, you only know what comes here, man. Can’t wait to see your 5-list on our blog.
