Speak Easy Project contributed to the production of “Ghetto Balboa”, a feature-length documentary that premiered in competition at the Sarajevo International Film Festival in 2018.

The film follows the story of a young Roma boxer and his coach, a former convict, as they attempt to break out of the social and economic limitations of the Budapest ghetto through boxing.

Set in Budapest, the documentary offers a raw and intimate portrayal of resilience, mentorship and the possibility of transformation, combining observational storytelling with a strong cinematic approach.

Speak Easy Project’in katkı sağladığı “Ghetto Balboa”, 2018 yılında Saraybosna Film Festivali’nde yarışma bölümünde prömiyer yapan uzun metrajlı bir belgesel filmdir.

Film, Budapeşte gettosunda yaşayan genç bir Roman boksör ile eski bir hükümlü olan antrenörünün hikayesini takip ederek, spor aracılığıyla sosyal ve ekonomik sınırları aşma mücadelesini anlatmaktadır.

Budapeşte’de geçen bu belgesel, dayanıklılık, rehberlik ve dönüşüm temalarını güçlü bir sinematik anlatım ile sunmaktadır.
